past lives

I often imagine who I or others might have been in another timeline. I believe I would still be an artist, searching for meaning through art and the human condition. When painting or drawing a model, especially a stranger, I can’t help but project stories onto them. I hope the final piece captures a glimpse of their inner life. Below are oil portraits on canvas and pencil sketches on paper.
